Ingredients:
Dry fruits (cashew nuts, walnut, almond, dates, raisins, pistachio, flax seeds, sesame seeds); jaggery; honey; apowder and ghee.
Method:
In a jar, crush dates and raisins to make a paste and keep it aside. Take a pan, add some ghee and roast all the dry fruits until golden brown. Now, make jaggery syrup and add some honey to it. When the syrup thickens, add all the roasted nuts and crushed date paste. Combine everything well and put it in a tray to cool down and set. Cut it into rectangular bar shape and enjoy the authentic and rich taste.

 

2. Bell Pepper Salsa:

It is an interesting recipe for immunity, highly rich in vitamin A and C, fibre, iron, folate and potassium. This recipe hardly takes 5 to 10 minutes, but, it’s impact on immunity is long lasting.
Ingredients:
Red, green, orange and yellow bell pepper, tomatoes, onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, olive oil, salt, black pepper powder and lemon.
Method:
In a clean bowl, add finely chopped red, green, orange and yellow bell pepper, to this, add finely chopped tomatoes, onion, green chillies and coriander leaves. Now, to flavour it, add some olive oil followed by salt, black pepper powder and half lemon juice. Give all these a good mix and your bowl full of Salsa is ready to have.

3. Kadha:

This well-known authentic and Ayurvedic drink recipe is loaded with nutrients including, vitamin A, folic acid and holds exclusive antibacterial, antioxidant and antiviral properties.
Ingredients:
Water, jaggery, honey, black pepper powder, ginger, tulsi leaves, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves and carom seeds.
Method:
To make this immune boosting drink, boil some water, to it, add tulsi and bay leaves, black pepper powder, crushed ginger, cloves, cinnamon, jaggery and some carom seeds. Let all these spices and herbs boil in the water for at least 10 minutes on a medium flame. After all the nutrients have been absorbed in the water, turn off the flame and strain it. Now, add some honey and drink it to recharge your immunity.

 

4. Vegetable Fries:

This recipe for immunity is saturated with the nutrients of all the colourful vegetables including high amount of vitamin A, C, B6, iron, zinc, potassium and sodium.
Ingredients:
Broccoli, sweet potatoes, beetroot, beans, carrot, capsicum, red bell pepper, mixed herbs and spices, olive oil, salt and black pepper powder.
Method:
To make this amazing recipe, in a tray place all the above mentioned veggies in more or less thin rectangular shapes. Now, add some olive oil to it followed by salt, black pepper powder mixed herbs and spices. This is totally up to you how you would love to flavour your fries. After this, bake it for about 15 minutes on medium temperature. You now have roasted, brown and crispy vegetable fries for your evening snacks.

5. Badam Milk:

Ingredients:
Almond, milk powder, saffron, cardamom powder, turmeric and milk.
Method:
This instant drink is super easy, yet delicious and healthy. For this, take a jar, add almond, saffron and cardamom powder and blend it finally. Now, to this, add milk powder and give all a good mix. After this, boil some milk and add 1 tbsp of the badam mixture along with a pinch of turmeric and saffron. Mix it properly with the help of a spoon and you are ready to go for it.

6. Rasam:

Ingredients:
Olive oil, mustard seeds, dried red chillies, curry leaves, hing, cumin, black pepper, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, tomatoes, turmeric, salt, green chillies and tamarind water.
Method:
Rasam has so much to offer as it is a complete blend of the herbs and spices needed for your immunity. To make this, in a jar take some cumin, black pepper, garlic, ginger and coriander leaves and blend it to form a masala paste. Now, in a pan add some olive oil, you can also go for coconut oil, to this add mustard seeds, dried red chillies, curry leaves and hing. After roasting it for a while add the masala paste and roast it again until it smells aromatic. Now, add some finely chopped tomatoes to it followed by a pinch of turmeric, salt and green chillies. Saute everything until it becomes soft and mushy. After this, add some water to it and let it boil for about 5 minutes. You now have instant flavoursome Rasam to refuel your immune system.

7. Mushroom Quinoa:

Not very popular, yet an interesting recipe for immunity to try on. Mushroom Quinoa is well known for B vitamins, folate, selenium, zinc, vitamin C and high amount of potassium. This is a power packed recipe to boost your immunity instantly.
Ingredients:
Mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, garlic, salt, olive oil, black pepper powder, herbs and spices and cooked quinoa.
Method:
In a pan, add some olive oil, garlic and sizzle it. Now, put some fresh spinach leaves, broccoli and slices of mushroom to it. Cook all these for a while and then add the flavouring agents, i.e., salt, black pepper powder, herbs and spices. When Everything is cooked well, add cooked quinoa to it and mix it well. 8. Aata Pinni:

This immune boosting recipe is the best for winters and specially when we have to over protect ourselves this time. Atta pinni is a sweet recipe all filled with the goodness of dry fruits and whole grains. This recipe is a good source of vitamin A along with Vitamin E, folic acid, iron, magnesium, zinc and other essential minerals.
Ingredients:
100% wheat flour, desi ghee, dry fruits (cashew, almonds, walnut, raisins and sesame seeds), gaund and jaggery.
Method:
In a pan add some desi ghee and put some gaund to it in order to crystallize it. When the gaund gets crystallized, crush it roughly and keep it aside. Roast the dry fruits now until they turn golden brown. Now, to the same pan and add a good quantity of ghee again and put some thick wheat flour and start roasting it on a medium flame. Slowly the flour turns sandy in texture, separates ghee and smells aromatic. This is the time to add all the roasted nuts and crushed gaund. Combine everything well and let it cool down. When the mixture is completely cool, add crushed jaggery, mix everything well and start shaping like a Pinni. This is a great recipe for immunity and hence, should be tried out this winter.
